Dear Web-Folks;

Tragically, on Friday August 4th about 6 p.m., a very close friend, Charles Cowper, age 25, was Run Over on his Motorcycle by a 6-wheel Moving Truck. The truck took a left turn in front of him and he laid the bike down and slid under the back wheels. The accident broke both legs and right arm and caused massive internal injuries. After five hours surgery, the doctors were not sure Charles would survive the night. His family and my family were devastated and kept a vigil throughout the night. By the Grace, Charles survived the night but the doctors said the next week was very critical due to internal injuries and possible infections. Due to massive swelling, his legs were not set until the following Friday, using stainless steel rods. After about a week, the doctors removed his breathing tube and on Saturday, August 26th, Charles was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit. Many more surgeries are yet to come.

Charles was like a family member in our home throughout his High School days, being Classmate and best Buddy of our teenager, Clay. At age 19, Clay joined the Marines and Charles followed suit. After a tour in Afghanistan, Charles returned stateside and some months ago was Honorably Discharged. With his young bride and the purchase of their first home, Charles was setting his future with a job and schooling toward a college degree.
This young couple needs FINANCIAL HELP during a very long recovery period ahead.

Charles' mother, Pam, is one of my best and dearest friends. She is a very generous and giving person. Charles inherited this quality from his mother. They are the kind of people who will always help you out when you are in a jam, even if they are struggling as well. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO SUPPORT THIS YOUNG COUPLE, CHARLES AND HIS WIFE ASHLEY! They have a long struggle ahead of them!!!!
